Ran 4 miles this morning! It took me 50 minutes, so not that great timewise, but I feel good. And now I'm very, very hungry. :) I think I ate 10 bananas for breakfast...
Harmony came up with an amazing recipe. Lets call it Harmony sauce. :) It is not perfect food combining but it only has 2 ingredients, both fruit, takes seconds to whip up and is nice for sweet'n'sour cravings. She said I could share it, so here goes:
1 oz lemon & lime juice (about 1 small lemon and 2 small limes)
4 dates
Squeeze juice into a bowl
Pit dates and let them soak in juice for a minute or more.
Using a metal spoon, squish the dates into the juice for a couple of minutes.
Lo and behold, a thick, creamy (and low fat!) dark brown sauce will magically appear. If anybody misses the taste of sweet'n'sour, there ya go. I've tried it on salads, zucchini noodles (didn't work so well with the noodles) and other sliced/cut up veggies. I can't eat big portions of it, it does bother my tummy slightly if I have too much, but it is nice to have a little bit of sweet and sour flavor from just 2 fruity ingredients! Harmony is such a genius. I bow to her. :)
